What are the cut-off times?
To receive flowers the next working day, orders must be placed before 2pm Monday to Friday. Orders placed after 2pm will be dispatched the following working day.
Weekend ordering works slightly differently. If you order on a Saturday, Sunday, or Monday, your flowers will be dispatched on Tuesday and delivered on Wednesday. This ensures your bouquet arrives fresh rather than sitting in a depot over the weekend.
If you have a specific delivery date in mind — a birthday, anniversary, or sympathy gesture with particular timing — contact us before ordering and we will advise on the best dispatch window.
How much does delivery cost?
Standard UK delivery is £6.95 per order, regardless of bouquet size or destination. There are no hidden charges at checkout. The price you see is the price you pay.
How are the flowers packaged?
Every Carnation House bouquet is wrapped and boxed specifically for transit. We use considered packaging that keeps the stems hydrated and the blooms protected. Our boxes are designed to be sturdy enough to handle courier delivery without the flowers shifting or arriving bruised.
If you have added a personal message at checkout, it will be printed and included with the flowers. Gift-ready packaging is standard — you do not need to request it separately.
What if nobody is home?
Our courier will follow your delivery instructions if you leave them at checkout. If no instructions are given and nobody is home, the courier will attempt to leave the parcel in a safe location or with a neighbour, and leave a card. If delivery is unsuccessful, the parcel is held at a local depot and the recipient can rearrange delivery or collect directly.
Because flowers are perishable, we always recommend making sure someone is home or leaving a safe place instruction. If you are ever unsure, get in touch and we can talk through the best approach.
